Your ceremony should feel like the two of you. Here are answers to a few questions couples often ask before we get started.
What makes a Vows&Vibes ceremony different?
Can our ceremony be funny and still feel meaningful?
Absolutely. The best humour comes from the little stories and quirks you both recognize. I’ll keep it warm and true to you, never embarrassing or forced. And yes, there can still be happy tears.
I take the time to learn your story, your personalities and what matters to you. The result is a ceremony that feels natural and personal, with room for laughter and genuine emotion. I want your guests to leave saying, “That was so them.”
Can we write our own custom vows?
You can write your own, keep them simple or ask me for guidance. The Signature Vibe and Full Vibe packages both include vow guidance, so we can find words that feel comfortable to say out loud.
What happens if there's a logistical change?
You’re in good company! My approach is relaxed and conversational. We’ll talk through the ceremony beforehand so you know what to expect and can be present in the moment.
How long does a typical ceremony last?
Yes. The Intimate Vibe is a short ceremony for an elopement or intimate signing. It includes a couple questionnaire and minimal customization and is available Sunday through Thursday for $325.
What are your other ceremony options?
The Signature Vibe ($495) includes a planning meeting, questionnaire, customized ceremony, your story woven throughout, vow guidance and a final ceremony review. The Full Vibe ($795) includes everything in The Signature Vibe, plus a rehearsal, more extensive story interviews, enhanced storytelling and coordination of contributions, readings or rituals.
Can we include our children, family or friends?
Yes. Tell me who you’d like to include and what you have in mind. The Full Vibe package includes family and friend contributions, along with coordination of custom readings or rituals.
Do we need a rehearsal?
Where do you officiate weddings?
I serve couples in Kawartha Lakes and surrounding areas, including select weddings in Peterborough and Northumberland County. When you get in touch, tell me your venue or location, and I’ll confirm availability.
Many couples don’t. If you have a larger wedding party, children taking part or several moving pieces, a rehearsal can help everyone feel more comfortable. A rehearsal is included in The Full Vibe package.
How far in advance should we book?
As soon as you have a date and location, send me a message. That gives us time to check availability, get to know each other and create a ceremony that feels right for you.
